Morgan’s Graduation from Pennsylvania College of Technology, May 14, 2022

Wait, what? Four years gone by … already? Wow – they’re not kidding when they say, “don’t blink.”

Leaving him at the college four years ago was difficult, but thankfully Naomi would be around!

At the end of his first year, he moved from a dorm to a 5-bedroom house with a common area kitchen, and that was perfect for him. He was able to have his space and have his friends and Naomi. It was just a block up from the school and that was another blessing since his car wasn’t always the best in the snow. One of his roommates was in the same program, and, there was a wide driveway next to the house for lots of cars.

One of the highlights of his second year was going to SEMA in Las Vegas with his schoolmate and friend, Lucas.

He finished the fourth semester with an A.S. degree in Automotive Technology, and then passed his State Inspection test.

Great job! And then there was Nova…

And snowboarding with friends….

And before we knew it, four years had gone by.

Fun fact – Morgan was born during a torrential rain storm. Move-in day it rained, and move-out day…same thing. I love the rain.

Once again, I found myself ironing a black graduation gown – and that is a blessing!

We met Steve’s parents and my parents at the Genetti hotel where the graduation would be held. It was nice to have them all there to celebrate with.

My parents and I had actually been there about 10 years ago to see my brother Josh graduate from Penn College too. The graduation ceremony was put together really well.

I couldn’t have been prouder the moment Morgan’s name was called and I watched him walk across that stage to shake President Gilmore’s hand.

I was so glad that he made it, that he did it well, and that he enjoyed it.

Thankful for friends, but always bittersweet to move on.

Thank you, Lord, for watching over him, keeping him safe, providing for Steve and I as we supported him, and for helping him succeed.
On to bigger and better things!
