Really? 17? But only yesterday you took your first breaths! Then what seemed like only a few minutes later, you were walking! Then…starting school…and then, driving already? Oh my goodness… Think you’ve always got tomorrow? Nothing like a little reality to ground you. Kids will show you so much in what will seem like such a short amount of time…not enough for sure.
He always had such a big smile (when he wasn’t crying, but that honestly wasn’t often at all). And even now, as he can be “teenager” and “hormone” grouchy, I can still see that little boy in his eyes. So thankful for his life, and so thankful to be his mom, so thankful that I can love him each day.
