About

It all began at an office building in Cranbury, New Jersey, where Steve was completely smitten by Marie (tee-he-he!). Ok, well, whatever the reason was for him, here we are 26 years later – 23 of those married.

So first there was an apartment in Keasbey, New Jersey, and then a little yellow cape cod in Woodbridge.   That’s where our firstborn son Morgan began his life. Eighteen months later, Morgans first brother Tyler came along. In writing this, I can hardly remember all of the challenges and crying and diaper change after diaper change for what seemed like it would be forever. And isn’t it amazing how every now and then, something can trigger a memory – placing you back in time in that moment, as if it were just yesterday. There were usual mornings with Tyler in his high chair, and Morgan begins to feed him some yogurt. Or times when I felt like I’d cleaned the playroom for the 500th time that day.

Soon enough, it was time to think about a bigger place and laying a foundation for the four of us and the babies we’d hoped to be in our future. The Lord led us to Pennsylvania, and blessed us with a beautiful home and 2 more little boys: Christian and Gabriel. I can’t honestly say that I don’t wonder how our family would be different with some “ribbons and curls” in the mix, but I couldn’t ask for more with these boys.  Maybe God loves me so that He is happy to let me be the prettiest girl in my house, surrounded by a bunch of good-looking men? No matter – as the days go by, it doesn’t seem like it will be much longer anyway until I am also the shortest person in my house too. But hey, I’ve got lots of good high-heeled shoes to battle that problem anyway.

And so the days turn to years, and the years turn to milestones. I know that I tried to enjoy it all as best I could. And though there are times when I truly do miss those days, I am prayerful that there are so many more blessed ones to come.
