Has it been a year already? I loved that Morgan and Tyler were close enough together in age that they were only 1 year apart in school, but I’ve come to realize that I also don’t like that they were close enough together to be only 1 year apart in school…and neither do the bank accounts! 😉
Just kiddin’… we’re very blessed that our children want to further their learning and for God’s provision to allow that to happen.
It seemed like it was just yesterday that Tyler started his first year of preschool, Little Lambs Nursery School, with his brother Morgan.
Though the years went by and circumstances varied the degrees of friendships, I am thankful for those that have stood the test of time (not only for Tyler, but speaking for myself as well, regarding some mom-friends that have lasted just as long).
And so the days drifted by, filled with all things boys: sports, broken bones, learning to ride a bike, etc., etc.
It’s a blessing when High School offers more uncovering and encouraging of talents and abilities than struggles. Outside of the usual necessary academics, he chose classes like Still Photography, Physics, and Electronics. He found Bowling and enjoyed golf (and I enjoyed seeing him in polos and dockers’ shorts most days of the golf season!). He got his drivers’ license and went on his first Samaritan’s Purse mission trip with our church. He excelled in his academics by more times than not making President’s List, and was accepted into the National Honor Society. Steve and I couldn’t be more proud of him!
And it’s off to Penn State, Berks Campus. Prayers and hopes for all the best!
