Spring brings flowers… rain… and music programs!
Mrs. Judy Whitmoyers’ annual Piano Recital
Christian and Gabriels’ piano teacher, Mrs. Whitmoyer, is kind, thoughtful, and gracious enough to organize a recital so her students can shine! Christian began as one of her students 7 years ago as a kindergartener and this is his 7th recital. Gabriel began lessons when he was in second grade so this is his 3rd recital.
We are so thankful for Mr. Whitmoyer – for her patience and encouragement, and for sharing her time and talents to give Christian and Gabriel something that I can’t – the gift of music. Enjoy!

Gabriel just began playing the clarinet last year. In their school, students can choose and try an instrument in the 4th grade. Morgan played the clarinet, Tyler the trumpet, and Christian the saxophone. I’m thankful for Gabriels’ interest in piano and in clarinet, and I think the piano was very helpful in helping Gabriel quickly learn to play the clarinet just as it was helpful to Christian with his saxophone. Gabriel also participates in Chorus.

And there was Christians’ Middle School Spring Concert. He’s been playing saxophone since the 4th grade, and like Tyler, is also in Jazz Band. Saxophone fits Christians personality, I think. He’s also in Chorus, but says this will be his last year.

On May 22, Gabriel got to sing the National Anthem with his 4th grade chorus for our local Reading Fightin’ Phils baseball game. Some students from the Middle School held the flag, and before that some of the Student Council from the High School were recognized also. Unfortunately the weather was iffy, so the stadium attendance was a bit light, but the kids and the game were no less enjoyable. Gabriel was very excited to sing, and he practiced the song before and continue singing it for weeks after the event!

And with all that, we will close the schoolyear with Tyler playing in his last Commencement program with the High School Concert Band, for his brother Morgans’ High School graduation next week.
